Closure of the WordPress Polyglots Contribution Project
Final Summary of the WordPress Polyglots Contribution Project
This section summarizes my final experience within the WP Credits program, where I participated in the WordPress Polyglots team, contributing translations for WordPress into Costa Rican Spanish (es_CR) through the translate.wordpress.org platform.
During this project, it was possible to learn how the localization process works within the WordPress ecosystem, understand how the translation platform operates, and participate in submitting translation suggestions within different projects, such as Gutenberg and WooCommerce.
In addition to making tangible contributions, the project helped deepen my understanding of how collaboration works within open-source communities and how small individual contributions become part of a global effort to make technology more accessible in different languages.
This experience represented a valuable opportunity to develop technical skills, learn how to work following the guidelines of an international community, and gain a closer understanding of the WordPress ecosystem from the perspective of contribution.
