About me
My name is Daniela Carreño, and I am a student of Computer Systems Engineering at Universidad Fidélitas in Costa Rica. I am currently in the final term of my program as I work toward obtaining my bachelor’s degree. I am interested in using technology to solve real-world problems, especially in areas such as data analysis, business intelligence, and software development.
This website was created as part of an academic project focused on contributing to the WordPress ecosystem through the WordPress Polyglots initiative. The objective of the project was to learn about the software translation process and actively participate by submitting translation suggestions for Costa Rican Spanish (es_CR).
During the development of the project, I explored the WordPress translation platform, reviewed the official documentation, and submitted several translation suggestions in different projects. This experience made it possible to better understand how collaborative open-source communities operate and how translation helps make technology more accessible to users around the world.
In addition, this site incorporates a translation plugin that allows the content to be viewed in English if the visitor wishes, thereby facilitating access to the information for a wider audience.
